Network Everyday
July 22 2007Erin’s Business Tip Of The Week
Contact at least one person in your network everyday during the week. Ask them questions about their company, business, department, special projects, upcoming events, etc. Keep brief notes about each person in your network regarding dates of contact, conversation topics and common connections each time you contact someone. Always make a reference back to the last contact or a common connection when you do contact them and keep the door open for future contact. Be sure to send a congratulatory email to anyone in your network who receives a promotion, new position, etc., and send a message to your network each time you receive the same. The idea here is to keep on your network’s radar screen, so when a business opportunity arises, you are easily called to mind.
